I hate the feeling of sunscreen so I tried three Korean sunscreens that are supposed to be better than the stuff we get. My husband is a chemist and one of my best friends is a toxicologist. They confirmed that the ingredients are fine so I tried them. OMG what a difference! I know we are now at the end of summer but you might want to try some; we seem to have similar taste. :)
Thanks for the tip! I know a lot of places outside of the US do not allow the same toxic ingredients that we do so I’m sure cleaner options exist elsewhere!
Did not know / have not noticed eating well reducing sun burns… but that may be why I haven’t gotten burnt in a few years!
Have you used a mineral based sunscreen for a weeklong beach vacation? I find I’m always SO DRY at the end and I’m still trying to figure out how to prevent it
So far I’ve tried think sport, mad hippie, primally pure, kinfield, cocokind for face, kinship for face
I’m interested in trying pipette too
Though most haven’t been tallow based! Maybe that helps with the dryness??
Yeah like I said I read about it and then had circumstantial evidence with my own family but I’m a believer. I have def had the dry skin using it for longer trips - I think the key is scrubbing it off every day (it sticks!) but I definitely think the tallow ones are more moisturizing. I have not noticed the same issue with them. For face I have not had that experience with the Counter one either.
The same-brand-sells-both trap is the one that catches most people. Brand trust does a lot of the work and no one thinks to look past the name.
Have you found the label habit actually sticks for people, or does it slip when they're tired and grabbing off the shelf in a hurry?
I can’t speak for others but once it became a habit for me I always look at labels (food or otherwise!)
