The story
Every so often I text a friend a Quince link with zero context. Just the link and “trust me.” If you know me in real life, you already know my Quince love is real, so odds are you’ve gotten one of those texts.
My obsession started with their clothes several years ago when I first saw the brand pop up with organic options at low prices by cutting out the middleman. Now it’s pretty much my entire wardrobe. What surprises some people is how much more they carry now besides clothing, and slowly I’ve branched out into almost all of it. I could list a hundred things I’ve bought over the years (sadly). Mostly clothes, sure, but also bed sheets, luggage, purses, wallets, furniture (yes, actual beds and couches), pillows, blankets, kids’ clothes and bathing suits, jewelry, shoes. Even area rugs.
At first, I kept going back because of the fabric. Their clothing lines runs heavy on organic and sustainable materials at really good prices. If you’re just getting started on lower tox living, clothing is probably nowhere near the top of your list, and that’s fine, it wasn’t at the top of mine either. But it’s an area I’m focused on now. Cotton, linen, wool, silk, no polyester. Quince has a lot of it.
Not only do they have the fabrics I want, but the quality is hard to beat and there is true transparency on the pricing. At these prices you’d expect cheap quality. It isn’t. They cut out the middleman and sell direct to you, and they’re upfront about how the pricing actually works. So that cashmere sweater that looks too good to be true? It’s just a really nice cashmere sweater for a really good price.
One thing I love when I’m browsing the site: under each product, they compare it to a couple competitors and show you the price difference. Quince workout clothes will list Lululemon and Athleta with their prices and features in a table right along side the Quince item so you can compare. They do it for everything, even furniture. Go look up the comparable item yourself, the quality is the same. Sometimes I think Quince quality is better.
If you’ve never heard of Quince, where have you been? lol. But seriously, it is worth checking out if you’ve not heard of it. It is the first place I look now when I need something. Tablecloth for a party? Check. Organic baby gift for a friend? Check. Shoes for a wedding? Check. Towels for the guest room? Check. Cutoff shorts for the summer? Yep. I could give you a million recommendations. oh I love Quince too!! it's such great quality and washes so well which is very important when you're a mom haha. I want to try some of their home products this year seeing as we just bought a new house!!
